The inside is arranged with the measured confidence of Spanish Colonial design at its most resolved, delightfully adding a secret passageway to a speakeasy behind a combination vault. Akin to a verdant park, the grounds cascade to DTLA skyline views and unfold across a freeform pool, flat grassy pads, fire pits, a koi pond, a cold plunge, spa, and a natural amphitheater that feels drawn from somewhere between Andalusia and the Santa Monica Mountains. The Seyler House has been too well-tended, by too many people who understood what they were holding, to ask anything of its next owner but appreciation.
